CULTURAL RESOURCES In order to resolve Section 4.3 of Appendix B to Facility Operating License No. NPF-30, the NRC has been consulting with the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. The Advisory Council understands that a management plan exists for Callaway which addresses the treatment of the 25 properties determined eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The Advisory Council.has recently requested that the NRC forward copies of the management plan, or those portions which specifically address the historic properties, and a summary of the status of the implementation of the plan to the Missouri State Historic Preservation Officer (SHP0) and the Advisory Council. The Advisory Council further requested that the summary should specifically discuss the status of the three sites which were determined eligible for listing on the National Register and are directly threatened with damage from operations and maintenance activities.

It is therefore requested that you submit the information requested by the Advisory Council to the NRC within 60 days from receipt of this letter. Since the NRC, the Advisory Councit., and the SHP0 have already been provided with copies of the October 1983 management plan, your response should indicate if there have been any updates to the plan and identify those portions of the plan which specifically address the historic properties.
