Dear Mr. Boulay:

We wish to review the current status of the application under 44 CFR 350 for the adequacy of the plans and preparedness for the Emergency Planning Zone for the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station. The processing of the request for approval under 44 CFR 350 has been put on hold pending receipt of the information requested below. .

We understand that the Radiological Emergency Response Plans for the EPZ I comunities have been revised. We will need copies of the plans to review as part of our 350 evaluation. We wish to know if these revised plans are based on the "old" Massachusetts RERP Plan or the "new" draft Massachusetts

We will also need a complete copy of the latest NIAT Handbook and copies

of the emergency public information brochures for each town.

The following issues that were addressed in our Regional Assistance Comittee I reviews of October 1981 and June 1982, remain unresolved. Reference to NUREG-0654/ FEMA-REP-1 is provided for your infonnation.
