'the Zion outside perimeter fence.

{ The shots were fired from a distance of approximately 100 feet. The car, j containing Gm nen, immediately lef t the area. A search by the Zion police l _

l force for the car was unsuccessful. There were unconfirmed reports that Waukegan police (approximately 15 miles south of Zion) were shot at prior to the Zicn shooting. The guard was not hit by the shots and he did not return the fire.

l The police did not find the spent cartridges nor where the bullets hit.
