Revision to Nuclear Science Center (NSC) Physical Security Plan Dr. Michaels, The NSC has reviewed and revised the Physical Security Plan to fully implement your comments and !
reconunendations with the exception of one of the general comments.
Your general comment concerning the NSC's Physical Security Plan exclusion of 10CFR73.67(d)(11), l which requires licensees to " establish and maintain written response procedures for dealing with threats of 4 thefts or thefts of these materials" and prescribes retention and record-keeping requirements, is inco Tect.
The NSC Physical Security Plan states that detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) shall be written to implement the approved NSC Physical Security Plan (page 22). The NSC has established written response procedures for dealing with theft and attempted theft of SNM of Moderate Strategic Significance. These procedures are kept and identified as Safeguards Information.
