Revision of Facility Physical Security Plan

Dear Sir,

The Nuclear Science Center (NSC) has revised its safeguards contingency plan to reflect the requirements of 10 CFR 73 Appendix C. The intent is to provide better agreement between the working plan and the regulations requiring the plan.

In addition, many of the definitions in 10 CFR 73 did not have equivalents in the existing NSC Security Plan. To avoid confusion between the two documents, the plan has been rewritten to use the terminology and definitions found in 10 CFR 73.

The revised security plan ~nas been reviewed by the staff of the NSC and the Reactor Safety Board. It has been determined in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(p) that these changes do not reduce the effectiveness of tne security plan.
