' i

. Gentlemen:

1 in reference to our license amendment request of 4 September 1989 'the Texas Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) respectfully requests that the licensee for the i

NuclearLScience Center ~ Reactor'.(NSCR),; Facility License R 83, be officially designated as the Texas Engineering Experiment'St'ation/ Texas A&M University Systemt This. request is made in reference to the submittal letter of 20 October 1980 to the USNRC as part of the license renewal application (see attached).' A request was made'at that time to reassign the Ilcense. LThe USNRC approved the reassignment,

however, it.ls apparent that the namelof the.Ilcensee was riot changed on official i

USNRC documents due to typographical error. This error was not recognized by

.either the USNRC or the TEES administration until now.

The license renewal 5

submittal of 2 July 1987 and the 20' October 1980 lotter to change the licensee from

. {

' Texas A&M University to the Texas Engineering Experiment Station, a part of the Texas'A&M University System, provides the necessary documentation to support this request. -

J Thank you for your consideration.

3' i Respectfully submitted, Mf,ffp4 f
