McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 Proposed Technical Specification Change for Complete UHI Deletion Gentlemen:

Attached are proposed license amendments for Facility Operating Licenses NPF-9 and NPF-17 for McGuire Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2, respectively. The proposed change seeks to delete all references to the upper head injection system from the Technical Specifications in order to eliminste confusion as to the applicability of the extraneous specifications. The changes are proposed at this time because the UHI system has now been physically removed.

Attachment 1 contains thm proposed changes to the Technical Specifications.

Attachment 2 contains the Justification and Safety Analysis in support of the proposed changes; this includes an analysis conforming to the standards contained in 10CFR 50.92 as required by 10CFR 50.91 which concludes that the proposed amendments do not involve any Significant. Hazards Considerations.

This request involves one application for amendment to McGuire's Technical Speci-fications. Accordingly, pursuant to 10CFR 170.21, a check for $150.00 is en-closed.
