Dear Mr. Kane,
I am in receipt of your letter dated October 9, 1987. The E:@loyee's Legal Project has been preparing a response to NRC Incpection Report 50-443/87-07, but have hestitated to send it to you since there are several technical issues still under analysis. However, in the interest of carrying out the meeting with your staff in King of Prussia soon, the greater portion of the Employec's Legal Project response will be sent to you within the next week. 'Ihe issues still under analysis will be noted in the response, and discussion of them can be deferred to a later date. I believe the omission of the particular issues will not harper our meeting in King of Prussia.

(\\d Since I must be in Washington, D.C., over Thankegiving and have business in the city for at least a week thereafter, I would like to propose the meeting in King of Prussia take place Wednesday, November 25, or as close to that date as is convenient for you. It will not be possible to reach me by phone at my office for the next week, so I will call you or Tom Elsasser Monday, November 9, to make further arrangements.
'Ihank you for your response regarding the investigation of the crack in the pressure vessel. Both the E:ployee's Legal Project and the individual who raised the issue are very interested in the results of your investigation.
