Dear Mr. Durr,

Enclosed please find copies of the CBA supplemental trnin refrigerent snd instrumentation construction isometric derwings discussed nt our meeting on Dec. 29, 1987.

Please note that the seismic classification (item 2 of Notes) i is specified as "N/A" - not applicable.

This is tha classificetion I wrs in-structed to use by my supervisor af ter review of then-current documentstion.

At that time construction of those-lines was being finished.

This sppears to be in conflict with the statement in NRC IR 50-443-86-52, p. 86, that "...sil piping is seismically supported...."

Both supplementr,1 trains were built to the same specifications.

I do not know whether they were built to the same specs as the two original CBA refrigerant trains.

In investigating this matter, I would urge you to inspect the supports them-selves, as well as the relevant design documents, since the opparent presence of incorrect information available to the as-builders may indiente that similer-ly incorrect information could have been furnished to the craf tsmen who per; formed the support installation.

Please advise me of your findings through the Engloyee's Legal Project.
