We are the attorneys for J. L. Manta, Inc.
J. L. Manta is a r
co-defendant in a lawsuit filed against it by Consumers Power Company and Bechtel Corporation in the Circuit Court for the County of Midland, Michigan.
The lawsuit arises out of a q
containment internal structures coating deficiency (hereinafter
" coating delamination problem") in the containment and other buildings at the Midland Nuclear Power Plant, which plant is owned by Consumers Power Co. of Jackson, Michigan.
2 We are interested in obtaining documents through the Freedom of Information Act that the NRC may have with regard to the coatings delamination problem at the Midland Plant.
The NRC Region III office gn under the direction of Mr. J. G. Keppler in Glen Ellyn, Illinois g
was involved in this particular investigation.
The Glen Ellyn office Li has referred us to your office for documents.
