This' refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) special inspection
conducted by-the inspectors on June 26, 1990 - July 5, 1990.
The inspection
included a review of activities authorized for your McGuire facility associated
with the inoperability of both Unit 1 emergency diesel generators for approxi-
mately 26 hours3.009259e-4 days <br />0.00722 hours <br />4.298942e-5 weeks <br />9.893e-6 months <br /> on June 25-26, due to painting of the fuel racks.
At the

conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of

your staff identified in the enclosed inspection report.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report.
Within-
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of

activities in progress.

. The; apparent violations described in the enclosed inspection report are under
conddaration for escalated enforcement action.
Accordingly, no Notice of

Violation, is being issued at this time.for the v41ations, and no response is

required.
However, please be advised that the nafier and characterization of

the violations described'in the enclosed Inspedon Report may change as a
result of further NRC review..
An Enforcement conference .to discuss the .
