Dear Mr. Barron:
This refers to the inspection conducted between January 3,1999, and February 13,1999, at
McGuire Nuclear Station. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.

During the six-week period covered by this inspection, your conduct of activities at the McGuire i
'
facility was generally characterized by safety-conscious operations, sound engineering and
maintenance practices, and careful radiological work controls.
Based on the results of this inspection, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has -
determined that one violation of NRC requirements occurred. This violation is being treated as a I
Non-Cited Violation (NCV), consistent with Appendix C of the Enforcement Policy. The NCV is
