Dear Mr. Barron:

On August 26,1997, by Amendment Nos.176 and 158, we changed " Duke Power Company" to

" Duke Energy Corporation" in the McGuire Operating Licenses. By letter dated November 19, 1998, you requested conforming changes to Indemnity Agreement B-83 for McGuire to retroactively effect the same name change.

Enciosed you will find two copies of Amendment No.10 to Indemnity Agreement B-83. Please sign and return one copy to the NRC Document Control Desk. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call me at 301-415-1447.
