Dear Mr. Haynes:
In accordance wi t'i Technical Specifications 3.13.A.2 and 6.9.2.d, the following rerart regarding an inoperable motor-driven fire pump is being submitted.
On May 20, 1982 at 8:00 AM, No. 12 Fire Pump was removed from service to repair a leaking packing gland.
Subsequently, it was determined that the pump required overhaul and the pump was overhauled.
Following the completion of the
- work, a
post-maintenance test was performed which revealed leaks in the packing material.
The leaks were repaired.
The post-maintenance test was repeated with satisfactory results.
The pump was returned to service at approximately 3:00 PM on May 27, 1982.
