Subject:
Inoperable High Pressure Water Protection System 30-Day Report
Dear Dr. Murley:
Technical Specification 3.13.A.2 requires that a 30-day report be submitted if a motor driven fire pump is inoperable for greater than 7 days. This report is being submitted in accordance with this requirement.
On November 27, 1985, No. 11 fire pump was taken out of service to perform necessary maintenance on a section of the fire main supplied by this pump. The fire pump remained out of service _beyond the 7 day period permitted by the Technical Specifications, as the scope of the effort was initially planned as requiring approximately 30 days. The pump and fire main were returned to service on December 20, 1985.
Very truly yours, a
LLnmas
