Inoperable liigh Pressure Water Fire Protection System
Dear Dr. Murley:
Technical Specification 3.13. A. 3.b (i) requires confirmation of telephone notification concerning an inoperable Iligh Pressure Water Fire Protection System.
The following is a summary of the notification provided to Mr. Panciak of USNRC Region I by Joseph Bahr of Con Edison on March 31, 1986:
Event
Description:
At 1345 on March 28, 1986 the Diesel Fire Pump tripped and could not be restarted. At the time, Nos. 11 and 12 Fire Booster Pumps were also out of service. Therefore, all high pressure fire header pumps were inoperable.
Corrective Action:
No. 12 Fire Booster Pump and the Diesel Fire Pump were returned to l
service at 2000 on March 28, 1986.
