I am writing to let the Nuclear Regulatory Co= mission * . am totally and unequivocally opposed to tha restarting of the TMI Unit i nuclear reactor. Even thinking about doing this is dangerous. At the very least, the hearings concerning the damaged DC Unit 2 reactor should be allowed to be completed before the status of DfI Unit 1 is even considered. To operate Unit 1 on that conerninnted site, idtile the clean-up of Unit 2 is still going on, is, as I said, extremely dangerous and foolhardy.

Tha people in the Harrisburg M.iddletown area have suffered enough.

And they are still suffering. To subject them to further cental anguish, not to untion the physiological hacards from radiation, by starting Unit I would be wrong. Kaap DfI Unit 10FF-LINE!!!

Sincerely,

k. Md l ,,
