End of core life power coastdown program continues in preparation for the cycle 9 to 10 refueling outage.

On August 15, 1994 at 2351, a turbine trip followed by a reactor trip occurred due to blockage of feedpump condenser tubes.

The reactor was taken critical on August 16, 1994 at 2222. Mode 1 was entered on August 17, 1994 at 0105 followed by the parallel to the grid at 0430 the same day. Power increase was commenced per the power ascension program.

The unit exited this reporting period in Mode 1 at 484'TP.

There were no challenges to the pressurizer safety valves or power operated relief valves.

Gross Electrical generation for the month of August was 402090 MWH.

DETAILS 8-15-94 2351 Reactor trip/turbine trip. Blockage of feedpump condenser tubes caused low feed pump condenser vacuum, resulting in a turbine trip. This turbine trip caused a reactor trip. RCS in Mode 3.

8-16-94 2127 Commence Reactor startup; entering Mode 2.

2222 Reactor taken 'critical.

2255 Reactor power is at 24 RTP.

8-17-94 0056 Increasing reactor power to 84 RTP for Turbine Roll.

0105 Entered Mode 1.

"0145 Holding Reactor power at 84 RTP for Turbine Roll.

0151 Resume power ascension.

0430 Reactor parallel to grid.
