The applicant stated that information on this section will be provided in an amendment to the FSAR. Therefore, the staff cannot review this section. It will report on this item in a supplement to the SER after receiving the required information.

Open Items Auxiliary Systems Branch ASB-Il Measures to Limit Crane Movement (Draft SER Section 9.1.5)

The staff has noted that the applicant stated in Chapter 15 of the FSAR that the cask lift would be limited to 30 ft. The staff, therefore, requests that the applicant describe the measures provided to limit cask movements in accordance with the Chapter 15 analysis. This is an open item.

With regards to the overall heavy load handling systems verify that your design meets the guidelines of NUREG-0612, " Control of Heavy Loads at Nuclear Power Plants," Phase I and II and provide sufficient information so that we can make an independent evaluation of how the guidelines of NUREG-0612 are met.

Refer to the Heavy Loads Analysis Report which has been submitted under separate cover in response to NRC Generic Letters of December 22, 1980 and February 3, 1981.
