' Gentlemen:
Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. l' Response to Staff's'Backfit Analyses Hardened Wetwell' Vent On June 25, 1990, Nortgt Nuclear Energy Company -(NNECO) received the Staff's backfit analyses for' installation of a hardened wetwell vent at Millstone Unit No. 1.
The Staff stated that NNEC0 - should - reconsider our decision not to install the hardened ' vent and requested that we' provide our-intent within 30 days of receipt of the letter.
Subsequent - to' the receipt of the letter, on July 24, 1990, NNEC0, -other members of the Boiling Water Reactor Owners' Group, and.the NRC. Staff.' met to discu s installation of the hardened wetwell vent at isolation condenser pl ants.
Pursuant. to the agreement - reached ' at the meeting, NNEC0 hereby requests an extension for its response to the Staff.
