The three requested amendments proposed changes to Zion Station's custom Technical Specifications.

In Reference 1, Comed proposed to amend Technical Specification Table 3.7-1. The proposed amendment would have updated the values of the Reduced Power Range Neutron Flux High Setpoint Trip that are specified when one or more code Main Steam Safety Valves are inoperable.

In Reference 2, Comed proposed to amend Mode 4 Technical Specification Surveillance Requirement 4.3.1.A~4 b. The proposed amendment would have changed the Surveillance ,

Requirement to specify that steam generator secondary watei level be verified using narrow r range indication rather than wide range indication. ,V $ lf l 9802200326 900212

ZIM98001 Page 2 of 2 In Reference 3, Comed proposed to amend Technical Specification Limiting Condition for Operation 3.13.1.A.4, and Action a of Technical Specification 3.13.9.B. The proposed amendment would have allowed suspe:ision of RHR operation under certain conditions during core alterations.

Comed has determined that the three proposed amendments are no longer needed and hereby withdraws the Amendment Requests.

The attachment to this letter provides a listing of the commitments made by Comed in this 3 submittal. Comed is notifying the State ofIllinois ofwithdrawal of this application for amendment by transmitting a copy of this letter and its attachment to the designated state official.
