ECCS Analyses l

As set forth in a recently issued interim policy statement, the AEC has l adopted acceptance criteria for the performance of emergency core cooling systems (ECCS) in light water nuclear power plants. Your letter of July 19 requested that we furnish analysis information to confirm that the performance of the Monticello ECCS is in compliance with the criteria of Sections IV A and B of the statement.

l The General Electric Company has completed the analyses which are responsive I to the specific requirements outlined in your letter.

Enclosed are sixty copies of the analysis information which is required for your evaluation of the performance of the Monticello emergency core cooling systems. ,
