Waterford 3 SES Docket No. 50-382 License No. NPF-38 Operating Reactor Licensing Action Estimates Gentlemen:

As requested in NRC Administrative Letter 99-02, Entergy Operations, Inc. (EOI) is j hereby voluntarily providing an estimate of Waterford 3's licensing action requests for - l NRC fiscal years 2000 and 2001. Approximately 12 license amendment requests (Technical Specification Change Requests) are expected to be submitted during fiscal year 2000. For NRC Staff planning purposes, an additional 10 license amendment requests (Technical Specification Change Requests) are estimated for i fiscal year 2001. One exemption / deviation per year (2000 and 2001) are estimated I for submittal. One Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) review per year (2000 and 2001) are estimated for submittal. In addition, we are presently evaluating RCS hot leg instrument nozzle repair options (extending use of the existing installed )

mechanical nozzle seal assemblies or changing to EOl - Framatome designed i assemblies), steam generator cleaning (both during fiscal year 2000) and a power uprate application (fiscal year 2001) that may require NRC Staff complex reviews.

l The above estimates are voluntary and are not commitments by EOl to submit documents to the NRC Staff in the given time period.
