In reference to a recent report ~1ssized by the NRC office stating ~

there 22y be or appear to be a morale problem by those that have c11eged construction irregularities at the Glen Rose Con-nnche poc:s !!uclear Plant site.

I a: not an oculoyee of the construction companies operating there honover 1 am a researcher for a citizens group located in Hillsb'oro, 'foxas, a city 1ocated approxicately 55 miles fro: the plant sito.

'Tailo researching another complaint frod a citizen of Hill County,-

I acquired information that was quite disturbing to say the least.

. . w,

, I nill grant you that the nous media' play on tho' Taroe Milo Island fiasco =ay have been overdono, I do feel that any type of an accident involving nuclear poner should not be taken lightly in vien of the disnstorous offects it could hivo, should something happon'that could not be. controlled in time.

I do have coac civil engincesing background, having norked nith the State Highnay Department, building bridges and readily realise that would be a decisive weak abot in the nall construction should a melt down occur and nould core than likely be the'first i

It was also stated that he know of numerous ocployees, men and l

% [l nonen, if they proved they could neld a straight line, they nerc n11oned to nold and most didn't knon the difference between a l } 5 ton nold or 25 ton neld. .

4 I therefore ask you, if the above concrete was not checked out, l

please have it done. If no must have these things (nuclear plants) 1 -

I then ulcase take every precaution available to assure that such l shoddy construction is not allowed for the safety of the people.
