Gentlemen Enclosed is a copy of a letter I have received from constituents concerning the Northern States Power Company nuclear plant planned for construction on the Mississippi River near Monticello, Minnesota.

The questions asked by the writers of the letter are good ones, in my opinion, and I would appreciate your assistance in answering them.

I am in complete agreement with the opposition of Mr. and Mrs.

Carlson to construction of a plant without stringent controls to reduce radiation emission as close to zero as possible.

Please direct your response to the attention of Mercer Cross on my staff.
