In accordance with BQAM-ASME III Rev. 7 Section 4000 paragraph 4313 and paragraph 4314 "PQAE shall detemine that items procured are only from acceptable manufacturers prior to award."

In accordance with paragraph 4311, files of currently acceptable manufacturers of ASME Section III Div 1, items are maintained by procurement. Transamerica DeLaval Inc. and Copes Vulcan Inc. are not on BPC ASME Evaluation Supplier Listing (E.S.L.)

• Bechtel Job 7220 COMPLETE RESPONSE TO QAR RA-00197 MAD - 2843

Dear Mr. Wells:

This is considered a complete response to QAR RA-00197, Transamerica Delaval Inc. and Copes Vulcan Inc. are appraved suppliers and are listed on the Bechtel Evaluated Supplier List (ESL). This was verified by the PQAE prior to placement of the purchase orders. These vendors are not on the ASHI special listing because they do not fall within the scope of that list.

The ESL is a complete liet of all PSQD data available for all Bechtel ruppliers of either Q-derignated safety related engineered equipment or ASME Section III materials (NCA-3800 Nuclear Meterial).

The ESL-NCA-3800-Quality (ASME listirg) is a listing of the ASME Section III Naterial Suppliers whose-quality programs meet the requirement of l the Bechtel Power Corporation Quality Program.

The BQAM-ASME III Rev. 7 Secticn 4000 paragraph 4315 states for manu-facture's work covered er.tirely by the requirements of the ASME Section III, Div. 1, possession of the appropriate N-type code symbol stamp and review of the bidder's Certificate of Authorization constitutes an acceptable minimum requirement for supplier evpluation.

Vulcan Inc. were replacement parts for N-stamped components and both vendors possess the required N and NPT code symbol stamps and Certificates of Authorization to supply the items identified on the purchase orders.
