Docket Nos. 50.369 and 50-370 t

Proposed Revision to Technical Specification Bases Gentlemen ,

This letter proposes a revision to the McGuire Nuclear Station Technical

' Specification ~ Bases entitled Reactor. Trip System Interlocks. The revision corrects an error in the functional descriptions of the Reactor Trip System Interlocks P-7.and P-8. Under Interlock P-7, Turbine Trip'is listed.

Turbino Trip should be deleted from Interlock P-7 and listed under Inter 1cck-P-8. See the attachme c for changes' marked in pen and ink. Information regarding the enabling of Turbine Trip is described in Technical Specification Bases entitled Turbine Trip, and in.McGuire Final Safety Analysis Report paragraphs 7.2.1.1.2h and 7.2.1.1.3b, (copies of these pages are also attached for your convenience).

This. change is a wording correction and is administrative in'that it doses

'not represent a technical or operational change. The revision corrects an inconsistency between the description and the references mentioned above.

It is my understanding that NRC staff approval is' required for changes to tho' Technical Specificathn Bases. Accordingly, I request approval of this i revision'within 90 days of the date of this letter.

Any questions pertaining to this matter should be directed to Steve LeRoy at 704-373-6233. .;

Very truly yours, f . &bideu ,
