I'll look forward to helping and being with you. I will start making the calls. Where will we be staying in Brattleboro in case people want to meet near there? I know that the CAN people are not in Brattleboro, so we may need to travel to them. I had a productive discussion with Rich Emch this morning and he will be joinging us for the VY "coffees".

The meeting for VY is tentatively set for March 1st. You know we try to plan preliminary contacts with activist groups prior to our public information sessions. Having you there would be great if schedules work out. My plan is to travel to Brattleboro on Monday, February 27th and to schedule informal briefings for Monday afternoon and evening or Tuesday anytime. I want to meet with representatives of the New England Coalition, the Citizens Awareness Network, and Nuclear Free Vermont. My normal routine is to sit down with four or five members of each group over coffee either in their living rooms or at the nearby StarBucks. I normally take a copy of my license renewal flowchart, go over it in about 15 minutes and then discuss the upcoming meeting format. I then open up for questions and try to wrap up in less than 2 hours2.314815e-5 days <br />5.555556e-4 hours <br />3.306878e-6 weeks <br />7.61e-7 months <br />. At Oyster Creek, we had the environmental PM along as well and in one case had a local mayor facilitate the meeting with the activist groups in his office. It worked out well for him as well as for us.

Kathy and I are planning similar activities in Plymouth and Duxbury. We would fly into Boston on Monday, March 6th and try to set up an informal meeting with Pilgrim Watch on Tuesday. It would definitely be helpful ifyou wanted to make the initial phone contact with these groups and set up specific times and places. Otherwise, I will pull the contact phone numbers off the internet and set up the visits.

It is always great to work with you and I look forward to our meetings at VY and Pilgrim.

I had a good planning session with Rani and her staff in preparation for their scoping meetings on VY and pilgrim. I'd like to see if I could arrange a "coffee"' with some of the activist groups before we have the information meetings. Rani and her staff were supportive of that idea but thought we should wait until the applications came in (not docketed, merely submitted) before I make any calls. In addition, I know we're under a time crunch with Pilgrim on the 8th of March and VY on the ??? (are we still aiming for the 1st of March?). We may not be able to do the "coffees" before these meetings but I will at least make all the phone contacts and see ifwe can arrange them sometime before the environmental scoping meetings.
