Since we cannot visit every town individually, I am approaching the Franklin Regional Council of Governments which coordinates joint activities with local governments in the area. Government to Government Meeting for Vermont Yankee License Renewal Ms. Sloan, My name is Johnny Eads. I am the Sr. Project Manager with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission responsible for the review of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station license renewal application.

I am trying to arrange a government-to-government meeting between the NRC and local and state elected officials in MA. The purpose of the meeting would be for me to explain the NRC license renewal review process that we will be following for the next two years and how local and state officials can participate in that process. I understand that the Franklin Regional Council of Governments has the ability to arrange such meetings.Our current schedule has us conducting a large public meeting in the first week of March. In anticipation of high levels of public interest in the topic, we like to come out and meet with local and state government officials prior to that meeting to answer questions concerning the process. We are available to support a potential meeting arranged by the Franklin Regional Council of Governments anytime during the weeks of February 13th or February 21st. Meeting attendees would need to be limited to local and state officials.
