Re: Fwd: Government to Government Meeting for Vermont Yankee License Renewal As you can see from the attached email, we are well underway with our outreach efforts and all help is appreciated.

John Wray and Robert Bores have both volunteered to help. Also, if you would like to respond to my emails, please feel free to respond to me directly and cc whom ever you wish , but please do not hit the "reply to all" button. We have over 30 people on distribution these days and if we start using reply to all, we will all have hundreds of emails each day on single topics. As we continue to setup briefings and meetings, please consider yourself always invited to attend any of the meetings. Thanks, Johnny CC: Jacob Zimmerman; John Wray; Jonathan Rowley; Robert Bores cAtem'p\GW)00001.TMP Page 111t c:\tem~\GW1OOO01 .TMP Page 1 II Mail Envelope Properties (43E73A95.DD6:

Re: Fwd: Government to Government Meeting for Vermont Yankee License Renewal Yes we are well underway.

We have been working on outreach activities for two months already. We have met with our primary state contacts in VT, NH and MA. We have briefed local town governments in the towns of Vernon and Brattleboro VT and Plymouth, MA. We have briefed staffers for Senators Leahy, Jeffords, and Kennedy and Congressman Delehunt and Saunders.

As part of our Plymouth Town meeting, we briefed State Senator Murray and State Representatives deMacedo and O'Brien.I have asked John Wray, to help set up a similar meeting in NH with State Senator Keene and State Representative Hogancamp and Selectman from Hinsdale, NH. We continue to work with Raeann Shane in OCA and still have Senator Kerry and Congressman Markey to brief. We are working through Chip Cameron to meet informally with activist groups, New England Coalition, Citizens Awareness Network, Nuclear Free Vermont, and Pilgrim Watch. I could use help with the VT State Senators Gander and White and State Representatives O'Donnell, Rusten, Milkey, Pillsbury, Edwards, Darrow, and Deen.Johnny>>> Robert Bores 02/03/06 9:19 AM >>>Johnny, Maybe I've been out of the loop too long, but are we (you) planning such a meeting for VT and NH as well (i.e., a meeting with the local gov't leaders)?

Also once the meeting is set, shouldn't the NRC consider inviting the federal representatives or staffs of the area (Senators and Representatives)?

bob>>> Johnny Eads 02/03/06 6:52 AM >>>FYI, I am in the early planning stages of trying to set a meeting with State and local officials near VY in the State of Massachusetts.

Since we cannot visit every town individually, I am approaching the Franklin Regional Council of Governments which coordinates joint activities with local governments in the area. I will keep you informed of progress in this area, but again we are only in the early stages of making contact.Johnny CC: Jacob Zimmerman; John Wray
