SUMMARY

OF THE 2010 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT OPEN-HOUSE On March 25, 2010, at 4:00 p,m., the NRC conducted an Annual Assessment Open-House Meeting at the Scriba Town Hallin Oswego, NY, The NRC conducted the open house meeting to discuss the NRC's assessment of the safety performance of the Nine Mile Point and James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Stations for 2009. A notice of the meeting was issued on March 8, 2010, and was posted on the NRC's external (public) web page (ADAMS Accession No, ML100670141), The NRC presented poster boards and was available to discuss its assessment of the safety performances of Nine Mile Point and James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Stations for the period of January 1 through December 31,2009, as documented in our letters dated March 3,2010 (ADAMS Accession No. ML100620531 for Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station and ML100621422 for FitzPatrick Nuclear Station).

The NRC poster boards provided background on the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP), Additional information relative to the NRC's Annual Assessment Process and the safety performance of Nine Mile Point and James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Stations can be found on the NRC's web site at:www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/index.html.

Constellation and Entergy employees and members of the public attended the open-house and were offered the opportunity to speak with the NRC staff regarding Constellation's and Entergy's safety performances and the role of the agency in ensuring safe plant operations.
