SUMMARY

OF PUBLIC MEETING On June 24, 2020, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a public webinar to discuss its assessment of the safety performance at the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant, Nine Mile Point Nuclear Generating Station, and R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant in 2019.

A notice of the webinar was issued May 26, 2020 and posted on the NRCs external (public)

Web page. The meeting notice can be found in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) with Accession No. ML20147A188. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web page at: http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.

The NRC was available to discuss its assessment of safety performance of the James A.

FitzPatrick, Nine Mile Point, and R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plants for the period of January 1, 2019, through December 31, 2019, as documented in our letters dated March 3, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20059L951, ML20059L980, and ML20059L858). Additional information relative to the NRC's Annual Assessment Process and the safety performance of the James A.

FitzPatrick, Nine Mile Point, and R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plants can be found on the NRC's web site at: https://www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/oversight.html Members of the public attended the webinar and were offered the opportunity to question the NRC regarding the James A. FitzPatrick, Nine Mile Point, and R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plants performance, and the role of the agency in ensuring safe plant operations.
