1) ULNRC-05830 dated December 15, 2011 2) NRC Letter, "Request for Additional Information for the Review of the Callaway Plant, Unit 1 License Renewal Application, Set 23 {TAC No. ME7708)," dated March 26,2013. By the Reference 1 letter, Union Electric Company (Ameren Missouri) submitted a license renewal application (LRA) for Callaway Plant Unit 1. Reference 2 dated March 26, 2013 transmitted the twenty-third Request for Additional Information (RAI) related to our application.

Enclosure 1 contains Ameren Missouri's responses to the individual requests contained in the March 26, 2013 RAI. Enclosure 2 contains LRA Amendment 23 to reflect changes made as a result of the RAI responses.

Enclosure 2 also contains updates to the following seven (7) commitments in LRA Table A4-1, with related updates to LRA Sections A1, B1.3, and Bl.4: PO Box 620 Fulton, MD 65251 AmerenMissouri.com ULNRC-05979 April 26, 2013 Page2 o Item # 1 has been completed.

Callaway procedures have been revised to apply the elements of corrective actions, confrrmation process, and administrative controls of the Callaway Plant Quality Assurance program to those nonsafety-related SSCs requiring aging management.

o Item #2 has been completed.

The Callaway operating experience review process and Corrective Action Program were previously revised to perform reviews of plant-specific and industry operating experience consistent with LR-ISG-2011-05.

Training on the program and process revisions is now complete.

o Item #4 for MRP-227-A Safety Evaluation Applicant/Licensee Action Item #8 Item #5 implementation schedule has been revised to indicate that the Fatigue Monitoring program will evaluate the effects of the reactor coolant system water environment on the reactor vessel internal components with existing fatigue CUF analyses.

This enhancement will be completed no later than six months prior to the period of extended operation.

o Item #31 has been revised to include LRA Table A4-1 Item #37 and Item #38. o Item #37 for the inclusion of the non-NUREG/CR-6260 locations with an EAF CUF (Uen) greater than 1.0 is now included in LRA Table A4-1 Item #31. o Item #38 to limit the number of the most severe RCP component cooling water transient, i.e., elevated CCW inlet temperature transients, to 7 5 percent of its design value is now included in LRA Table A4-1 Item #31. o Item #39 implementation schedule has been revised to indicate that the NFPA-805 and LRA gap analysis will be completed thirty (30) days after the final NFPA-805 Safety Evaluation Report is issued.
