SUMMARY

OF MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 20, 2014, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION STAFF AND UNION ELECTRIC COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES TO DISCUSS THE CALLAWAY PLANT, UNIT 1, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (TAG NO. ME7708)

On February 20, 2014, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff (staff) met with members of Union Electric Company (Ameren Missouri, or the applicant) in a Category 1 public meeting to discuss the license renewal application for the Callaway Plant, Unit 1 (Callaway). A list of attendees is provided in Enclosure 1 and the meeting agenda is provided in Enclosure 2.

A copy of the slide presentation used by the applicant in its discussion is available as ADAMS Accession No. ML14050A402.

The purpose of this meeting was for the applicant to discuss its proposed resolution of Applicant/Licensee Action Item 1 associated with Materials Reliability Program (MRP)-227 -A; this issue is currently under review by the staff in support of the safety review of the Callaway license renewal application dated December 15, 2011.
