These revisions to the corporate plan together with the revisions to the Monticello Emergency Plan furnished                -
with our {{letter dated|date=July 27, 1982|text=July 27, 1982 letter}}, constitute our overall response to the Appendix B items listed in your {{letter dated|date=May 4, 1982|text=May 4,1982 letter}} concerning the Monticello Emergency Preparedness Appraisal. Some of the revisions to the corporate plan are based on our interpretation of the requirements which were clarified in a telephone conversation with your Mr W L Axelson.
It should be noted that the plant and Corporate Plans are companion docu-ments. Each plan does not, by itself, address or reference all of the emergency planning requirements or guidance criteria. It is intended that the plant plan cover site specific requirements and that the corporate plan cover of fsite requirements and functions normally assigned to the corporate offices.
Revisions to this plan have been reviewed and approved and do not decrease the effectiveness of this plan.
Attached to this letter is updating information on the Appendix C items identified in your {{letter dated|date=May 4, 1982|text=May 4, 1982 letter}}.

: 1. Letters dated December 10, 1981, and February 5, 1982, regarding Minimum Shif t Staf fing, SR0s and an addition to the Control Room were sent to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR),
requesting an extension to February 1983. At the time of this appraisal, NRR is evaluating this as a generic issue.      (Sections 2.2 and 4.1.1.1) (263/82-05-12)

Arrangements have been completed to effect a smooth transition from t'..e current interim EOF's (for Prairie Island - Sterling Motel and for Monticello - Wright County State Bank Building) to the new EOF 's located in the Prairie Island Training Center (PITC) and the Monticello Training Center (MTC).
The PITC is located 0.2 miles beyond the plant turnoff on County Road 18.
The MTC is located on west River Street which is the West turnoff road about 0.25 miles south of the plant entrance road.
For both sites, the day of the transfer will be Wednesday, August 11, 1982.
Most of the EOF telephone numbers will be new and prior to the change-over appropriate entities will be informed of the new numbers.
