NOTICE OF DOCKETING AND ACCEPTANCE REVIEW OF NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY AMENDMENT APPLICATION (TAC NO. L22970)

Dear Mr. Wadley:

By application dated August 31,1999, Northern States Power Company (NSP) requested an amendment to Materials License No. SNM-2506 for the Prairie Island independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI). The application requests storage of burnable poison rod assemblies and thimble plug devices in the TN-40 storage casks at the Prairie Island ISFSI.

This is to inform you that the application contains the necessary information to begin our review.

I am enclosing a copy of the Notice of Docketing of the Materials License SNM-2506 amendment application. The notice has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
