Dear Mr. B. Andrews:
This letter ;is in response to the September 14, 1989 letter from Mr. Richard.J. Gigliotti of your staff to Mr. William T. Russell, Regional Administrator (Region I). In that letter you advised us of your intent to withdraw Revision 4 of the Security Training and Qualification Plan, submitted on December'23, 1988, since the Plan changes reflected in that revision were incorporated into Revision 5, which was submitted on July 7,1989. Further, you have redesignated Revision 5 as Revision 4, and Mr. Gigliotti's letter transmitted a copy of the new Revision 4.
As previously discussed with Mr. Gigliotti by Messrs. G. Smith and C. Gaskins of the NRC, we find:this an acceptable manner in which to handle this matter and will make the appropriate changes to our records.
The new Revision.4 will be reviewed by staff members from both the NRC's Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards and the Region I Office. We will advise you of the results of our review when it is complete.
