SUBJECT:
EARTHQUAKE NEAR SAN ONOFRE At 9:39 p.m. PST on November 19, 1988, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter Scale (as measured in Berkeley, CA) occurred approximately 30 miles west of San Clemente. The earthquake was felt by personnel in the Unit 1 control room; however, no seismic instrumentation alarms were received. The earthquake was also felt in other areas of the plant. The licensee performed a visual inspection of Unit 1 and found no damage. The licensee also performed a flux map of the Unit 2 and 3 reactors and found no anomalies.
