dated December 15, 1986 In accordance with our referenced letter, this submittal provides the follow-up report of Technical Specification fire-rated assemblies (specifically fire doors) found inoperable during routine surveillances in December 1986.

Fire doors found inoperable during the December routine surveillances are L identified in the Attachment and include: 5 latching mechanism failures, 3 closure mechanism failures. No doors were found blocked open in December.

! As each of these deficiencies was-identified, compensatory fire watches, pursuant to Technical Specification 3.7.9, Action Statement 'a', were established. Door mechanism failures are being corrected on an "as found" basis, d

Mr. J. B. Martin This monthly follow-up report and those sent previously provide updated information associated with an ongoing condition initially reported in 1983. The follow-up report covering inoperable fire doors identified in January 1987 will be submitted by February 16, 1987.
