Docket Nos. 50-206, 50-361 and 50-362 Updated Fire Hazards Analysis San Onofre Nuclear Geherating Station Units 1, 2 and 3 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.71, Southern California Edison Company (SCE) is transmitting Revision 3 to the San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station Units 1, 2 and 3 Updated Fire Hazards Analysis (UFHA).

This annual revision includes additional information which amplifies, clarifies or updates the existing text and reflects all changes made in the San Onofre Units 1, 2 and 3 facility up to a maximum of six months prior to the date of this filing. The revision consists of the appropriate UFHA revised pages for San Onofre Units 1, 2 and 3. Each revised page includes both a vertical change bar drawn in the margin adjacent to the changed portion and the date of the revision. This revision does not alter any conclusions drawn in the UFHA regarding the safe shutdown capability in the event of a fire for San Onofre Units 1, 2 and 3.

This submittal fulfills the requirements of 10 CFR 50.71 (e) for San Onofre Units 2 and 3.

In addition, the Unit 1 specific information has been revised to reflect compliance with the safe shutdown requirements of Part III.G of Appendix R to 10 CFR 50.

UPDATED FIRE HAZARDS ANALYSIS INSTRUCTION FOR REVISION NO. 3 Revision No. 3 to the Updated Fire Hazards Analysis Report for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2 and 3 consists of insert pages to the UFHA.

The Revision 3 pages to the UFHA provide:

A. Changes to update, or clarify, the report and are indicated by a line in the outside margin. The date and revision number are provided at the bottom of each page.

B. Revisions to figures are identified with a revision number and date and the change area is clouded.

The attached List of Effective Pages should be used as a guide for inserting the pages.
