Appendix R Exemption Requests San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-206 The following information is needed to perform an evaluation of the.
Appendix R exemption requests contained in Attachment 3 (Rev. 0) of the Licensee's October 1985 submittal titled "Southern California Edison, San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1, Generic Letter 81-12 Response."
(Note: Page and figure numbers in this RFI refer to those of the Licensee submittal.)
280.1 Elaborate on what is meant by "...located locally within the fire zone..." as used in Item 4, page 5.
280.2 Describe and provide a technical test reference supporting the validity of a 3-hour fire rated barrier for dedicated shutdown cable protection as specified in Item 1, page 8.
280.3 Describe the fire stops to be provided in the cable trays as specified in Item 8, page 9.
280.4 With regard to the exemption request presented on page 10, please rephrase into two or three separate exemption requests as discussed in a meeting held on November 14, 1985 at NRC.
280.5 Verify that the clean and dirty oil tank referenced in Item 4 on page 13 complies with NFPA Standard No. 30.
280.6 What is the length of time available prior to having the reheater isolation valves manually closed (see page 20, Item 9)?
