Docket Nos. 50-206, 50-361 and 50-362 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2 and 3 In accordance with 10 CFR '50.71, Southern California Edison Company (SCE) is transmitting Revision 2 -to :he San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station Units 1, 2 and 3 Updated Fire HaN ds Analysis (UFHA).
This annual revision includes additional information wtch amplifies, clarifies or updates the existing text and reflects all changes made in the San Onofre Units 2 and 3 facility up to a maximum of six mc ths prior to the date of this filing.
The revision consists of a complete re ssue of the UFHA sections pertaining to San Onofre Units 2 and 3 to expedite i corporation of changes.
Each revised page includes both a vertical change bar drawn in the margin adjacent to the changed portion and the date of the revision. This revision does not alter any conclusions drawn in the UFHA regarding the safe shutdown capability in the event of a fire for San Onofre Units 1, 2 and 3. This submittal fulfills the requirements of 10 CFR 50.71 (e) for San Onofre Units 2 and 3.
As part of the NRC Systematic Evaluation Program (SEP), San Onofre Unit 1 is not required to meet the schedular constraints of 10 CFR 50.71.
However, San Onofre Unit 1 has committed to update the Unit 1 portions of the UFHA. The Unit 1 specific information is currently being revised to reflect the efforts underway to achieve compliance with the safe shutdown requirements of Part III.G of Appendix R to 10 CFR 50, as discussed in our "05000361/LER-1984-020, :on 840326,w/unit in Mode 2 at 2% Power,Reactor Trip Occurred on High Steam Generator Level.Caused by Overfeeding Steam Generators During Manual Operation of [[system" contains a listed "[" character as part of the property label and has therefore been classified as invalid.
