dated January 12, 1987 In accordance with our referenced letter, this submittal provides the follow-up report of Technical Specification fire-rated assemblies (specifically fire doors) found inoperable during routine surveillances in January 1987.

1 Fire doors found inoperable during the January routine surveillances are identified in the Attachment and include: 14 latching mechanism failures, 9 closure mechanism failures, and 1 door blocked open. As each of these i

deficiencies was identified, compensatory fire watches, pursuant to Technical l

Specification 3.7.9, Action Statement 'a', were established. Door mechanism failures are being corrected on an "as found" basis.

The responsible party was not identified for the 1 door found blocked open.
