PLANT SHUTDOWN FOR 30 DAYS TO EVALUATE INPO FINDINGS AND CORRECT PROBLEMS The licensee will begin a controlled shutdown of Hatch Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 today (April 19,1988) in order to evaluate and correct problems identified as a result of an !
INP0 evaluation conducted during the weeks of March 14 and 21,1988. The licensee i anticipates restarting both units in 30 days.
Prior to shutdown, Unit 1 was at 100 percent power and Unit 2 was preparing to start up ;
after recovering from a reactor scram from 79 percent power on April 17, 1988. l i The State of Georgia will be informed. !
