SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-413/86-20
This is in response to your letter of January 29, 1987, requesting approval
of a change in the corrective actions specified in your response to
Violation 50-413/86-20-01 dated November 6, 1986. Your letter requested that the
frequency of measuring the fraction of beta radiation which penetrates to a
depth of 300 mg/ct' be changed from quarterly to whenever access to the primary
side of any steam generator is available, but no more frequently than quarterly.
We have evaluated your request and find this change acceptable. We will examine
the implementation of your corrective actions during future inspections.
