PREDECISIONAL ENFORCEMENT CONFERENCE CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION This letter confirms my conversation with Mr. R. Jones of your staff on May 10,1999, concerning a predecisional enforcement conference requested by us, which has been scheduled for June 7,1999, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This conference is to discuss the apparent violation associated with the potential inoperability of the Standby Shutdown System, between December 16 and December 29,1998, as described in inspection Report 50-413,414/99-10. The conference will be in Room 24T20 of the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center,61 Forsyth Street, S. W., Atlanta, Georgia. This will be an open meeting as per Section V of the " General Statement of Policy and Procedures for NRC Enforcement Actions,"
