Transmittal of Basis Document for License Change Application (LCA) 239 Debris Processing in the Fuel Building The purpose of this letter is to formally transmit a revision to one of the basis documents for LCA 239, which requested amendment of Facility Operating (Possession Only) License No. NPF-1.
LCA 239 proposed to authorize the thermal processing ofspent fuel pool debris in the Fuel Building. '
Attachment 1 is Scientific Ecology Group, Inc. (SEG)" Trojan Proof of Principle Test Summary" (SEG/TRJ/ PRO-030, dated April 8,1997) which reflects the addition of narrative description material related to the sample methodology, and the removal ofmaterial that was inconsistent with the Table 1 resuhs. The changes are identified in the report by margin bars. This information is being provided to facilitate the review of LCA 239.
