IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE FOR HUMAN ENGINEERING DEFICIENCY MODIFICATIONS This letter is to document and confirm the agreement reached during a telephone call on July 1,1985, between Robert Gill of your staff and Harold Christensen of the NRC, Region II.

We understand that Duke Power Company plans to provide to the NRC, Region II, 60 days prior to each McGuire Nuclear Station refueling outage, a list of Human Engineering Deficiency (HED) modifications scheduled to be completed during that outage. An additional item is that Duke plans to complete all identified HED modifications by the end of the fourth refueling outage for units 1 and 2, as outlined in the implementation schedule enclosed in your May 3,1985, letter to Harold R. Denton.

If your understanding of the July 1,1985, conversation is different, please inform the Rehion II staff as soon as possible.
