Two tubes were plugged in the east f-p turbine condenser. Reactor power was increased to 75% on 841130 and held at this power level until 841202 to check the main turbine condensers for tube leaks and to remove debris from the condenser waterboxes/ tube sheets. The Unit entered'the reporting period in Mode 1 with the

? reactor at 100% of rated thermal power. Major power reduc-tions occurred for.the following reasons:

1) To-remove-the Main Feed Pumps from service (to clean debris-from-the feed pump turbineicondensers.
2) To lubricate the circulating water system de-icing valves.

condenser tube' leak check.

4). To remove-the East'and West Main Feed Pump from service for condenser tube leak. checks.

The Unit ended the reporting period at 75% rated-thermal power.-

Total electrical generation for the month was 711,720 MWH.

SUMMARY

11-07-84 North Safety Injection-Pump inoperable at 0518 to repair -

seal water tank. The pump was, returned.to service at, 1815.-

11-11-84 At 2047 power was reduced to 55%'to remove the East ~

Main-Feed Pump from~ service to clean debris'from the j feed pump turbine condenser.

L 11-12-84 At 0447-the East Main Feed Pilmp was returned to service 4

11-28-84 At 1640,.the power was reduced to 55% to remove the East Main Feed Pump'from. service'to check for tube' leaks.-

11-29 At-0130, the East Main Feed Pump was' returned'to service and at 0243 the West Main Feed Pump was removed from service for tube leak checks.

11-29-84 At 0856, the West Main Feed Pump was returned to service and at 1045"the East Main Feed Pump was removed from service to check for tube leaks.

11-29-84 AT 2240, the East Main. Feed Pump was' returned.to service.

11-30-84 At 0305, power was started increasing toward 75%.to allow for maintenance on the "C" . south condenserfcirculating '

water box.

11-30-84 #1 AB Diesel was inoperable at.1503 for-maintenance and .

was returned to service at 2255. l The Control Room Cable Vault Halon System remains inoperable as-of 1400' hours on 4-05-83. The backup'CO2 System:for the Control Room Cable Vault remains operable.

M-l' Replaced flange ~ flex gasket on seal. water line to the outboard mechanical seal of the North Safety Injection Pump.

M The automatic vent an 1-AB diesel air aftercooler was observed to be leaking by. Upon inspection, the ball float'was found disconnected from the seat arm. The ball float was replaced.

All parts were cleaned and reassembled.

M-3 Replaced defective ESW valve,.SV-16, for No. 1 AB Diesel. . Set point test was performed after installation to verify proper operation.

C&I-1 -Solenoid valve, XS0-562, which operates the' dampers for HV-AES-1 was not operating properly. The solenoid was rebuilt and' tested to verify. proper operation.

C&I-2 Several flow switches / indicators for the auxiliary feedpumps-were reading less than zero. FFS-259 and FFS-261 (TDAFP) and FFS-245 ('W' MDAFP) required calibration, while FFS-260 (TDAFP) was within calibration limits. All four were filled and. vented
