Enclosed for filing is a Petition for an Order to Show Cause prepared by the Vermont Public Interest Research Group and the Vermont Yankee Decommissioning Alliance.

The Petition pertains to the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant, Docket 50-271, and arises from a study of the issues surrounding IGSCC indications at the plant by the petitioners.

We repectfully request prompt action on our Petition due to the serious health and safety implications that the problems outlined in the petition present to the citizens of our region.
